Hooray! Windows Server 2008 R2 – updates are OFF by default!

I’m in shock and very happy.  Anyone who has setup a few windows 2008 servers learns soon enough that the automatic updates are not shy about rebooting your servers and causing havoc by default.

Well, after setting up a fresh R2 install tonight I can definitely say Microsoft has heard us!

2008 R2 has the updates turned off by default!
